Rado from Bearnecessity Amsterdam

DJ RADO, aged 38 started his career in Sydney Australia in 2004, where he quickly became one of the most sought after DJs in the Sydney scene.

Rado, has a history a little different to many DJs… he had no desire to be famous, and it was only in 2004 when Sydney’s leading DJs invited him to come to perform in clubs, that the city folk had a chance to hear this special DJ.

Initially playing in small bars and clubs, he clearly has the Midas touch. Shortly after beginning to perform, he was a full time working DJ, with residencies at key bars/clubs such as Manacle (nights and BENT afterhours), Stonewall, ARQ and a host of appearances at major dance parties.

In 2006, Rado was recruited by Sydney’s premier gay venue, The Midnight Shift, to be a guest at Sydney’s number one leather party, INDULGENCE.

After immediately creating an energetic and accessible underground sound, Rado was summoned back to the packed room and later made the main resident.
Furthermore, he was brought into the weekly Saturday night line-up, for the more mainstream night QUEEN (Midnight Shift Club), where offered a more uplifting house sound with underground twists.

Before long, the major dance parties hired Rado, at events such as Mardi Gras – SLEAZE BALL, and Sydney Leather Pride’s INQUISITION, MANHOLE, ASCENSION parties.

Sydney’s most famous nightclub (HOME)recruited Rado in 2005 for its major gay events. Other highlights include repeat performances at RESOLUTION NYE in the Sydney’s massive Metro Theatre. Rado’s past residencies include Sydney’s best afterhour, Phoenix Rising, as well as at The Colombian, Midnight Shift Club and Manacle.His current residencies are Bear Necessity Amsterdam, Soho Bar Amsterdam, The Web Amsterdam.
